A new PC-based cable and wiring harness tester that measures resistance over the range of 0.5 ohms to 10 Mohms, and can display a wiring diagram complete with the notes and data necessary to conform to ISO 9000 requirements, is now available.

The CableEye® Model M3 PC-Based Cable Tester lets users find defective cables instantly, display a graphic wiring diagram, highlight the error or defect in color, save wiring notes and labels with text, and print schematics. Featuring a compact fixture with 152 test points, which can be cascaded to achieve up to 1024 test points, this tester automatically measures diodes and resistors, and allows setting resistance thresholds from 0.5 ohms to 10 Megohms.

Supplied with easy-to-use Windows® software that includes scripts for fully automatic operation, the CableEye® Model M3 PC-Based Cable Tester also provides data logging, label printing, and report generation for ISO 9000 documentation. Networked PCs allow multiple test stations to share a common cable database, test programs, and system settings.

The CableEye® Model M3 PC-Based Cable Tester, available from stock, is priced at $3,990 +GST for 152 test points, includes software, one-year warranty, free tech support, and software upgrades. The CableEye® Model M2 without resistance measurements is still available.
